Lego Heads

Bryson came in today while I was cleaning and showed me his cute little fingers wearing Lego helmets. Funny little guy!

My Poor Ethan

Last Wednesday I took Ethan in to see a doctor because he had a huge rash all over his body. The doctor thought it might be an allergic reaction to a new shirt he wore before washing it. I gave him allergy medicine and it started to get better, but this morning I woke up and it was all over his face, chest and a little on his neck. I called the doctor to tell him that his rash was worse and because he has no fever, sore throat, or flu like symptoms, he just told me to keep an eye on him. I wish I knew what was wrong with him! Nothing changed in his diet, soaps he uses, and he hasn't been outside a whole lot. I don't what it could be and it makes me sad to see him like this! If anyone has any idea of what this could be, I would love some advice.

Bryson's "boy purse"

Yesterday Bryson told me that he wanted a purse like the one he gave me for my birthday. He said he wanted a boy purse to put all his money in. Today we went to Walmart in search of Bryson's boy purse. I had a hard time finding a purse or bag that wasn't too girly. I looked at backpacks, purses, wallets, and couldn't find anything. We soon gave up and went to look at the toys. After looking at toys for awhile, I saw a cute bag at the end of one of the toy isles. It was a perfect boy purse for Bryson!

Bryson is very happy with his boy purse.

Spotlight from my Dad

Kathlene is feeling kind of left out because I saved her for last in spot lighting all of my kids. You know what they say, the first shall be last and the last shall be first. Well, that wasn't exactly the order I put this in. I just went with inspiration I guess. Kathlene was my first child. Being a first child myself, I know a little about what goes along with that. Kathlene had to be the first to experience everything, she was a pioneer. That has it's ups and downs. Kathlene has always been very close to her Mom and I. She was my beautiful baby girl. Great Grandma Hawkes told us that her name should be "Evangeline". I guess that it meant that she was an angel in Grandma Hawkes' eyes. We had so many exciting life experiences with Kathlene as our first and only child for that first year. I remember taking movies on 8mm of her first steps outside our apartment in Logan. I'm so proud of Kathlene and the wonderful mother and person she is. She is an awesome example to her brother and sisters. She assumes the responsibility of the oldest in her family much better than I have in mine. I'm proud of who she was, who she is and who she will become.

My 34th Birthday

My kids made me a very nice, very BIG birthday card and gave it to me this morning before they went to school. Thanks for the cute card it made my day. I love you all so much!!
These beautiful kids are mine. How lucky can one person get! :)

I was a little bummed out about being 35 years old, until my dad reminded me that today It's my 34th birthday. Thanks Dad for reminding me that I'm younger than I feel.

Easter

Our pretty Easter eggs.
Every Easter the kids wake up and have to look for their Easter baskets. This morning Ethan found his basket hanging from the shower head in the bathroom.

I don't know how putting shoes outside became a tradition at our home, But I think it started when Lexie was around five years old. The kids planted Jelly Beans in a pot the night before Easter and the grew into lollipops on Easter Morning.

I love styling Allison's hair!

This is my favorite tool and it's called the Topsy Tail. All the fun and pretty hairstyles my girls have is because of this tool. I love it! If you have a lot of girls I would really recommend buying this tool. You can get it on the Internet and it's very affordable. Gotta have it!Most of the styles on this post are thanks to my amazing Topsy Tail tool.

Allison has so much pretty hair! I love styling her hair in many different ways.Topsy Tailed front pigtails and bun. Very pretty!

Crisscross braids
This style we call the Princess Laya hair style. This is one of my favorite hairstyles. The picture doesn't do it justice because I took it later in the day after she had been playing.

Dandelion Love

I have been getting a whole lot of dandelion bouquets from my boys this week. It makes me feel so loved that they take the time to pick these bright, yellow dandelions for their mom. I'm the luckiest!

I love my boys!

The Candy Man

Who can take the sunrise, sprinkle it with dew, cover it in chocolate and a miracle or two. The Candy Man, the Candy Man can. The Candy Man can cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good. Travis is the Candy Man! At least at our house. A couple times a week he will go to the store and buy a huge bag of candy. This morning I woke up and asked Bryson if he went somewhere last night and he said "Yes" "Where did you go?" I asked "We went to get some candy bars." If the kids ever need candy or have a chocolate craving they know who to go see.

When we would go to the grocery store together, Travis was the one with the car cart running up and down the isles with our kids screaming like they were at an amusement park. My cart was always filled with food and Travis' cart would be loaded with candy, soda, icecream, chips and other goodies the kids or should I say Travis wanted.

Lexie's 2nd Dance

Lexie loves going to church dances! Last night was her 2nd time going to a dance and she was really excited. Lexie and a bunch of her friends met at Hanna Whitneys home and did each others hair and got ready for their fun night. Lexie told me that she had a lot of fun as was able to dance with some really cute boys.

Fun with Emma

Travis is now working with Josh Hudson and on Saturday I watched his sweet little girl Emma. My girls had so much fun playing Emma and I enjoyed watching her. She is such a well behaved little girl and everyone loved having her over. Emma loves posing for the camera.

Our good friend Gabe came to visit us tonight. Everyone was very excited to see him!

This is a picture of Gabe drawing a little cartoon of a man turning into a wolf on Allison DSI.
