So Close to Winning

For the last few weeks or so Lexie has been entering drawings at Wendy's and Papa Murphy's for a chance to win Justin Bieber concert tickets. Friday Hot 98.9 called and told us that Lexie was a top qualifier for tickets to Justin's concert in Portland. She was told to be at Sherm's Thunderbird Saturday a 12:45 for a chance to win. Yesterday we went to Sherm's and it was crowded with Justin Bieber fans. Lexie got a ticket and put it in the qualifiers box. Her chances of winning looked pretty slim because there was three pages of girls names who qualified. They told us that we needed to be back at 2:30 for the drawing. I took Lexie and my other girls to get some lunch and then we returned to the madness at Sherm's. Lexie won a kids meal at Wendy's while we were waiting and waited for her number to be called for concert tickets. They narrowed it down to a final ten and started by drawing the first group of five and Lexie's ticket number wasn't called. She was upset that the girl who won the concert tickets didn't seem too happy to have them. They soon started calling the next group of five. Lexie's ticket number was called and she was so excited. They gave each person in the group a balloon with a gift inside and only one balloon had the concert tickets inside. They all popped their balloons and the gift Lexie got wasn't what she was hoping for....it was a gift certificate to Papa Murphy's. Lexie didn't win, but she came really close. Lexie still gets to go see Justin Bieber in Concert on the 5th June and sit on row 14 so she's happy.

We are moving again!

We have been in the house on Kerrisdale Ridge for a year now. Travis was never happy about how much we were paying to rent this house, so he told me to start looking for a new place to rent. I look for only a week on Craigslist and found an Ad for a house on Springbrook. The Ad looked really good! 4 bedroom 2 bath home in E Medford for $1150 a month. It was in my kids school district and that made me really happy. The Ad also said No pets! I was already in love with this house even though there were no pictures of the house posted on the Ad. I didn't give up on the home. I emailed the owner and told her about Charlie and how he's a really good dog and how much I wanted to see the house. She called and told me that she would be happy to show us the house. The next day Travis and I went to see it and I felt so good about the house a knew it would be perfect for our family. We got an application and faxed it to her, and she got back with us that day and told us that the home was ours if we wanted it. I couldn't believe it! The house was only on the market for 3 day and it was ours. Renting this house on Springbrook will save us  money to get us into our own home someday. This move will be a pretty big change for us, not because it's a new place, but because we our leaving the Medford 8TH Ward. We have been in the 8Th Ward for almost 8 years and now we will be in the 2nd Ward. We were in the 2nd ward when we first moved here and it's a great ward, but it's kinda hard leaving a ward that you have been a part of so long. We will miss the 8Th ward, but the 2nd ward is a great ward and I know we'll be happy. Here are some picture of the house we are moving into on Springbrook.

My Bryson

Bryson is growing up so fast, but he is still a Mommas boy. He takes time out of his little busy life to tell me he loves me and whisper sweet little things in my ear. Yesterday he kept whispering to me with his little voice that tickles my ear; "Mom you are more beautiful than all the princesses." I don't know what I did to deserve this little boy of mine, but he makes me so happy and I love him so much!

Bryson's First Day of Kindergarten

Bryson is now in Elementary School and today was his first day in Kindergarten. His Kindergarten teacher is Mrs. Gressett who was also Madison's Kindergarten teacher. He was very excited to go to school today  and be a big boy. It was pretty hard for me to drop him off, not because I was worried about him, but because Bryson's my youngest and I just want him to stay little forever.

Travis' New Suit

While we were in Utah Travis got him some much needed suits for church. He was styling his new suit today and he looked so handsome! Along with his new suit he also got a new calling. He was called to be a nursery teacher. He's not too happy about his new calling, but he accepted the call. Travis is great with kids, and I know they will love having him as their teacher!
