Happy 17th Birthday Lexie!!

Happy 17th Birthday Lexie! You are truly beautiful inside and out!! Love your stinkin' guts!!!
Lexie told me that she just wanted money for her birthday. I wanted to give her money in a thoughtful and creative way.  I made her a money cake. I made it with 2 round styrofoam pieces, $100 in bills and decorative paper and tape, glue gun and pins. Lexie really liked her money cake and now all my kids want one for their upcoming birthdays.

Happy 39th Birthday Travis!!

Travis has always wanted to be a pilot and fly a plane. I have always told him no because I don't want anything to happen to him. Today for Travis' birthday I got him an airplane. Now he gets to fly around and be a pilot like he has always dreamed except he will be keeping his feet safe on the ground. For lunch we went  to Habaneros (Mexican Restaurant) and they put a sombrero on his head and sang happy birthday to him. It was great! We had birthday cake with a lot of candles I must add and then ended the day at the Stake Center getting our temple recommends. It was a great day! I'm so very blessed to have Travis in my life. He is my best friend and I cherish every moment with him. Happy Birthday Travis!!

The Book Of Mormon

Yesterday was the first time we finished The Book Of Mormon as a family. Reading The Book Of Mormon together has really blessed our lives. It hasn't always been easy, but I'm thankful for the spirit it brings to my life. I have noticed that those times we were reading the scriptures, I had strength to get through hard times and trials I was going through. I was more in touch with the spirit and felt the love of the savior in my life. Even though we finished The Book Of Mormon we are going to keep reading the scriptures because they truly are a blessing in my life and my families.
