Touch A Truck

We took the kids to Touch A Truck at The Jackson County Fairgrounds. They all got their faces painted, made noodle necklaces, and had fun honking the horn in the big trucks. Rock climbing was the activity my kids liked the most. They even got to climb all three sides of the rock wall. My kids are monkeys especially Ethan, but he could only handle going so high. I think he's a little afraid of heights like his dad.

They all were able to go inside and touch big diesel trucks, helicopters, tractors, and an ambulance.

Bryson had lots of fun spraying the fire hose. The fire helmet was so heavy, the nice Fireman had to help Bryson hold his head while he played with the fire hose.

My kids got to ride in barrels behind a tractor. Lexie was so happy that they let her ride!

Here they are having fun on the tractors. Our kids had so great time and I really enjoyed being outside in the sunshine!

Our Potty Party

I made this big boy pants cake for Bryson's Potty Party.

Bryson waiting for his party to start.

We decorated by hanging some of Bryson's underpants from a clothes line.

We sang the Pee Pee In The Potty song and then Bryson blew out his candles.

Bryson opened presents and got a bunch of new underpants. He loved his underpants and wanted to try them all on.

My Lexie's going to Middle School!

Lexie will be going into the seventh grade this year and she is so excited. We went and had a tour of Hedrick Middle School yesterday and Lexie couldn't stop smiling.

When we entered Hedrick we were greeted by the school band. We signed in and Lexie was very surprised to find her name on the wall welcoming the seventh graders to Hedrick.

We took the school tour with Lexie's good friends Jacqueline and Hannah. They saw the seventh grade hallway, cafeteria, gym, library, computer, and chorus rooms. The girls are very excited to start school at Hedrick and to have their own lockers. I can't believe that my little Lexie is not so little anymore and will be in middle school. It seems only yesterday, I was preparing her for kindergarten. Lexie will love middle school and I know she'll do great!!

Potty Party

We are going to have a potty party for Bryson. He is officially potty trained and we want to celebrate. We started potty training on Monday the 4th of May and he has not had any accidents since the 5th. Now that he is potty trained and he's our last child I can now say that we are done with diapers!! He was a very easy child to potty train. Every time Bryson would go potty in the toilet, we sang the potty song. "Pee pee in the potty. Pee pee in the potty" while doing a potty dance. Then I would say "Yeah Bryson!" and then Bryson would say "Yeah Mom!" We were a great team.

He's A Big Kid Now!

I started potty training Bryson today. Bryson's little friend Cameron was over here last night and he's getting potty trained, so I thought I should get potty training Bryson. This morning I told Bryson that he needs to go potty in the toilet like a big boy. I brought out his little potty and he sat on it while watching Dora. I cleaned the house for a little bit while he sat and watched his show. Soon (after a while of sitting on his seat) Bryson turned to me all excited and said " Mom, I did it!" he went number one for the first time in the toilet. He has had only one accident today and he even went number two in the toilet all by himself. I'm so proud of him! I hope that he continues to do well.

Wolverine

We had so much fun with the Kings last night. They came over for dessert and games. We played Sequence and weren't playing that long when we randomly decided to stop the game and go see a movie. Lexie watched all the kids while we went to see Wolverine. It was opening night and everyone wanted to see this show. I didn't care to see the movie but I was out with my friends so I was happy! Wolverine ended up being pretty good and I really had a good time with Jeremy and Lissa.

I Have Super Helpers!

I want to thank everyone for the advise and comments given on my last post. I thought about it and decided to get my kids chore aprons that they can decorate and wear while they do their chores. They were all excited when I told them that they could decorate their own apron. After they finished decorating, they were more than happy to do their chores. Who would have thought that a simple chore apron would get them excited to clean. I should have thought of doing this a long time ago. She did decorate an apron and it turned out very cute! I want to thank my kids for helping me clean today. You guys did a great job!

Housekeeping!

I feel like this little cartoon. I'm always cleaning! The really sad part is that I don't even get to enjoy my clean house after I have cleaned it. After I'm done cleaning a room I turn my back and it's a mess again, like I never cleaned it. I have become a slave to my house! Does anyone have any good tips on keeping your house clean? I don't want to spend my whole life being a slave to my house. I know that I shouldn't worry so much about house work and should spend more time with my kids, but I have a very hard time relaxing when I have a messy house. I need HELP!!

Swine Flu

The Swine flu is going around and many people have died because of the sickness. The Swine flu symptoms include high fever, body aches, headaches, coughing, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue and chills. The disease is transmitted directly between people, and not through animals, making it highly contagious. A single cough of an infected person can transmit the sickness to an entire room full of people. Bryson has been sick with all these symptoms and now Travis and I are sick. We have not been throwing up like Bryson has but we have had all the other symptoms. That's so scary! We think that it's just a regular flu and not the Swine flu.

Please keep us in your prayers. Hopefully we will all feel better soon!

I'm 32 (Man I'm Old!)

My kids got together and made me this big card for my birthday. I thought it was very creative and it made me very happy to see that they worked so hard to make me such a nice card. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful family! Travis took me to the Family Fun Center to play mini golf for my birthday. Then he beat me by four points and I thought I was doing pretty good. No matter how hard I try I can never beat Travis in mini golf. After golf we went and had lunch at Dairy Queen. Then Lexie and Travis took off to prepare for my surprise party. They got all kinds of Hawaiian decor. When they were finished shopping Travis took me on a long drive around Medford and then back home where I got a big Hawaiian surprise from family and friends. I was a little sad to not see Tim , Anja, Carrie, Aaron and Lissa in the crowed because they are always at our parties, but it was a nice surprise! Lexie and Travis worked very hard to put this all together for me and I just want to thank them and all who came for making this day so special.

What made the party even better was that Jeremy made his famous Pina Coladas. How did he know I was craving his Pina Coladas? We went to Kauai with the Kings last year (we left on the day after my birthday) and he made Pina Coladas for us all the time. I have been craving his yummy drink since then. Thanks Jeremy for providing the music and for the very yummy drinks!

Our Yard

I miss our lawn maintenance guys! It is so hard to keep up on yard work. I love being outside and believe it or not I love to mow the lawn. It's just really hard at my house! Our yard is pretty big. It's over a 1/2 an acre and I get very tired after mowing just the one side of my back lawn shown in this picture. It was so over grown that I had to mow it yesterday and then I got up early this morning to mow it again. I got my whole yard done except for the side strips going down my long driveway. I think I will leave that little bit for Travis to do. Now I just need to weed! We don't have sprinklers, so during the summer I have to drag sprinklers around trying to keep my lawn green and that's no easy task. No matter how hard I try to water my lawn it' starts to look like fall at my house in July. I guess I should stop complaining and enjoy my green yard while I still can.

Benji And The Strange Dog

Benji noticed a strange little dog running around our house today and he didn't like it. That strange little dog just so happened to be Benji. Our dog discovered his reflection in the mirror and has been barking and growling at himself all day. I think it's pretty funny! Notice Benji's left ear is down and his right ear is up. When Chihuahua's are puppies they have floppy ears and as they get older they are suppose to stick up. Benji will be six months soon and his one ear is floppy. Travis thinks his ear is broken. I don't know if his ear will straighten out but I think it's so cute!

My Pretty Driveway

The weather here in Medford has been so nice. It's been kinda depressing for me. I haven't been able to enjoy this nice weather because I have been trapped in my house the last few days with a sick little boy and lots house work. My driveway looks so pretty right now with all the trees hanging over it. It's the only thing I have been able to enjoy this week.

Our Cottonheadedninnymuggins

Bryson was sick and throwing up all day yesterday. I felt so bad for him because after he would drink or eat anything it would come right back up. After, he would look at me all shaky and say " Mom I sick." Poor little guy! Whatever he had yesterday is gone today thank goodness.
When my kids need slivers taken out or their nails clipped, Dad is the person they go to for help. Our good friend Jeremy who's a dentist gave Tavis these glasses that magnify little things like slivers and Tavis uses them all the time. Bryson loves having Travis fix his feet. He will go up to Travis, grab his little foot and say " Dad I have a ouwie." Last night Bryson wanted his dad to take out all his slivers and he didn't want him to stop.

My Surprise Date

Travis took me to see Who's Live Anyway at the Ginger Rogers Theater.

Whose Live Anyway? is a live improv performance featuring four stars of the Emmy-nominated Whose Line Is It Anyway? TV series: Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Chip Esten, and Jeff B. Davis. The show is 90 minutes of improvised comedy and song based on audience suggestions. The cast also performs some of the improvisational games made famous on the TV show. As The Oregonian says, "Standup is fun, improv is funnier. And these guys are the world's best!" I had so much fun except for the beginning when we were told we could take pictures only for the first few minutes of the show. Other people were taking pictures so I thought I would too. I took one picture (it wasn't even a good picture) and before I knew it, I had a lady in my face yelling at me "Mame your gonna have to give me your camera! No camera's allowed!!" I said "We were just told we can take pictures the first few minutes of the show." Mean lady snapped "No cameras allowed!" The lady wouldn't take my camera so I put it away. Then I watch the rest of the show with the lady glancing back at me to make sure I was behaving. Other than that, the show was very funny and we had a great time!

My Care Bear Carrie

I was thinking today of my Care Bear Carrie. She was always here to cheer me up when I was having a bad day or when I needed a friend. Carrie is a Cheer Bear because she easily brings cheer and happiness to those around her. Bubbly and happy Cheer is the unofficial leader of the Care Bears. She's quick with a nice remark, helpful and always willing to go out on a limb to protect her friends. Her name a rainbow say it best; she's full of good, colorful cheer and knows just how to use it. I love you Carrie and I miss you so very much!!

Table Rock

Travis went with Allison on a field trip to hike Table Rock. I haven't been to Table Rock and I thought it would be fun to go as a family sometime. The view over the valley is very pretty in this picture. Allison has been so excited to go on this field trip with her dad and it looks like they had lots of fun.

This is Allison's good friend Victoria.

Here's a picture of the kids in her class.

To get to Table Rock you have to hike a ways and then when you reach the top it's very flat that's why they call it Table Rock.

Family Night

One of my favorite shows is to watch is Food Network Challenge when they make cakes. Travis and I was watching it last night and we thought we would make our own little cakes for family night. The theme would be a family memory. I know how much my kids love Lego's so I thought I would make a Lego cake. Plus I'm not good at cake decorating so I thought I would make stick to something simple. Ethan decorated the blue one by himself with no help from anyone, I did the red, and then Maddy and Bryson did the white Lego's. We made a big mess but the kids had a good time.

Travis and Lexie made Bryson's sip cup and sniffy as their favorite memory. It was a cute idea and when Bryson saw the cake he pointed right to it and said "Look my baba and blanky." I thought it was funny that he knew right away what they made. Though our cakes aren't as amazing as the ones on Food Network Challenge they were fun to make and we all had a great family night.

Easter Sunday

Look at this cute bunch of kids. I'm so lucky to be their Mother!
