Christmas 2012

Snow Day!?

All the schools in our area were closed yesterday because of snow. In Medford they cancel school if there's a tiny skiff of snow on the ground. I thought it was silly that they canceled school but the kids were very happy. This is the kids first Medford snow man in like four years. I just had to laugh at how tiny it was, but the kids were happy with it.

New Phone

Today Travis and I went into Sprint and upgraded our phones to a Samsung III and I love my new phone!

Favorite Things

 One of these thing is not not the other. One of these things just doesn't belong...It isn't hard to guess which stocking belongs to Lexie. Yes. It's the Justin Bieber stocking. Lexie didn't want a traditional stocking she wanted a Justin Bieber stocking of course. Justin Bieber is Lexie's favorite!

 I made some yummy hot choclate the othe day and drank it from my favorite mug. It is now starting to feel a little more like Christmas.

Travis went out of his way yesterday to get me some yummy peppermint icecream. I love this icecream! It's really sad that some of my most favorite foods are ones you can only get durning the holidays. I guess that's what makes them so special.

Gingerbread houses

 For family night tonight we went to the library to watch Madison's last Christmas performance. After the performance we decorated gingerbread houses with the kids. We had a great time and each house wasout very creative and unique.

Making Dad's Famous Fudge

 The kids have been begging Travis the past few days to make fudge. Tonight Travis was able to fit fudge making into his busy schedule. The kids were so excited! The girls and the boys were able to make their own batch with help from their dad of course. The fudge turned out great and the kids had a fun time making it with their Dad.

Yellow One Belt

 Ethan has been doing great in Karate. Today he took a test and went from a yellow belt to a yellow one belt. He had to do a sequence of crazy moves in front of a big group of people without help from his instructor. He did great and passed! Now he is in sparring and working to get his orange belt. We are so proud of you Ethan keep up the good work!

Our Poor Broken Down Van

Our van has been sitting in our drive way for several weeks because the transmission went out on it again. Last year around this time we were traveling to Utah when we lost our transmission in a small town in Winnemucca Nevada. When we got our transmission replace we bought a lifetime time warranty on our transmission because we knew we would have future problems. It was a good thing we have that warranty! The only problem we had is that the place we had the waranty through was in K Falls. We no longer had a Amco in Medford so we had to haul our van all the way to K falls. We were worried the roads were going to be really bad going there, but we lucked out. The roads were nice and clear and I had a good time visiting with Travis on our little road trip. I sure hope they can get it fixed soon because I realy miss having a car!!

Festival of Trees

Madison had her very first performance today at the Festival of Trees. Today was also Madison's first time having a solo. She did so GREAT! We are so proud of our little girl. After Madison's performance the kids sat on Santa's lap and then we went out for ice cream.

Our Christmas Tree

The tree lot next to Travis store lets us pick a free tree every year because they are using the electricity from our store to power their lot. Our family went to pick out a tree the weekend of Thanksgiving. This was the first year I didn't have a tree up right after Halloween. The lot smelled so yummy and we had a many 6-7 ft trees to choose from. The house we are renting is really small so I could get a really tall Christmas tree this year. Lexie is picked the tree out this year. She told we that she was walking through a group of trees with her eyes closed waiting to get some kind of feeling of what tree to pick. Lexie said she hear her tree whisper "pick me" she opened her eyes and it was love at first sight. We brought it home and spent a good hour rearranging the furniture in my living room to get the right spot for our beautiful tree. That night me and the girls went out and got what we needed at Big Lots to decorate our tree. We all have fun decorating the tree while listening to Christmas music. The tree is beautiful and it sure makes our house smell good!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

This was our very first Thanksgiving with no one but our own little family. It was a fun day we had a big yummy meal and then went and saw The Guardians together.  I'm so Thankful for my family and the love we have for each other! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Birthday Bryson!

Happy Birthday to the cutest little brother in the world!! Can't believe he's already 6 years old! I remember when he was first born and I was the happiest big sister ever. I love you, Bryson!! ♥ -Lexie

Fall Fun!

There is Beauty all Around

I went out in the backyard today to feed the bunny and found this beautiful leaf on the ground. It had the most perfect red heart in the center. I thought I would take a picture of it for Travis. He is always finding me heart rocks, now I have a perfect heart leaf for him. I love you Travis!
