My New Glasses

I have been having a lot of bad headaches lately and so I went and got my eyes checked. The doctor said I needed glasses. He also said my pupils were large and he wanted me to get transition lenses to help protect my eyes from the sun. The lenses are so cool! They go dark in the sun and then when I'm out of the sun they look like normal lenses. I'm hoping these glasses put an end to my headaches!

Lexie and Art

Lexie has spent a lot of time drawing these last couple weeks. This is a picture of a drawing she did last night. Can you guess who she drew in the picture? Keep up the good work Lexie!

Where's Waldo Activity

We played Where's Waldo in the mall for a YW activity. The YW had to find eight adults from our ward. We each were assigned certain stores we had to wander around in for an hour while the girls looked for us. Lexie's group was the only one who found me. The rest of the girls walked past me several times not knowing it was me.

Our little group
My friend Angela Powell
Me and my friend Beck Mickelson
Ginny Johnson dressed like a crazy old lady.
YW Pres. Gwyn she is always so happy.
Megan Reeves, Lexie and HannaVonStrahl the only girls who found me.

My Birthday Cake

Someone call the fire department.
I was able to blow out all 33 candles in one blow.
Look at that big pile of candles.
Big bite for the Birthday Girl.

The bite may not look big but it was. I got a mouth full of frosting and barely any cake.

I have some great friends! My friend Ginny Johnson made my family chicken enchiladas for dinner so that I could relax on my birthday. I also got a visit from my good friend Angela Powell and she brought over this yummy chocolate cheese cake that she made just for me. I want to thank all my good friends and family who made my birthday and good one. Love you all!!

Lexie took a bunch of pictures of me on my 33rd birthday.

I'm 33 (an old lady)

Happy birthday to me! It's such a beautiful day to be celebrating a birthday. I can't believe I'm 33 years old. I'm now the age my Mom was when my family moved to Centerville, Utah. I can't believe how fast the time has gone!! We started celebrating my birthday last night since my birthday is on a Sunday. Travis took me to Applebee's for dinner and then we went ot Lowes and he bought me a beautiful cherry red riding lawnmower. This is something I have been dreaming about having for the past five years I have been in our Medford home. I'm so excited to drive it around in the jungle I have in the back yard. Thanks Travis you the gift! Thanks for always doing your best to make me happy. I love you Skabe!
My kids made me really happy on my birthday. They gave me lots of hugs and kisses and hand made cards. Lexie got me this really pretty necklace for my birthday and a cute card that opens up to her sing I love you. You love me. I just want to thank my little family for always making me feel so loved. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful family!

A little bit of me.

There is just a little bit of me in my kids and a whole lot of Travis. The bits of me are in Lexie and Allison. Lexie, got her freckles from me and Allison got her green eyes, very sensitive skin (sorry Allison!) and thick wavy/big hair from me. Even with those little things the sure look a whole lot like their dad. I have beautiful children!

Making Birdhouses

Travis Helped Maddy and Bryson make birdhouses to go in our trees yesterday. They had so much fun drilling and hammering their bird houses. The bird houses turned out really great, they are going to make the birds really happy!

Bryson's Favorite Toy

This little toy truck is now Bryson's favorite toy. He has been carrying it around with him for the last few days and I think it's so cute. Bryson is at such a fun age, he says and does the cutest things. One thing he has been telling me a lot lately is that he's Sharkboy and I'm his Lavagirl. I love that he loves me enough to pick me to be his Lavagirl. I also love to give Bryson kisses and I'll tell him that he's so yummy and he'll say " Mom.. I'm not yummy, I'm not food." I guess food can only be yummy. I need to remember to write down these cute little things he says so when he's older I can look back and remember how cute he was.

My Happy Thought :)

My Hero

Someone who gives away,

Gifts of love each day.

Things that can’t be sold,

Like a hand reached out to hold.

The warmth within a smile,

That lingers for a while.

Someone who loves you,

No matter what you do.

Someone who always cares,

What burdens another bares.

Finding good inside the bad,

Sharing happiness with the sad.

And with a loving embrace,

Makes this world a better place.

Someone who doesn’t realize,

They’re a hero in someone’s eyes!

This is what you are to me,

My hero is who I see!

Lithia Park

It was such a beautiful day today! The Dungan's called us after church today and invited us to go to Lithia Park with them. This was our families first time at this park and the kids had a blast.
The kids spent a good amount of time playing in the creek. All the kids were pretty good at staying dry except for Cameron, he was the only one who swam in the creek.

Everyone loves the rope pyramid! They all had a great time hanging around like monkeys on the ropes. Lexie and Travis were the only ones brave enough to climb to the top.

All the boys swinging together on the swings.
