Happy Halloween!!

We took the kids trunk or treating at the Brookhurst building and then around two different neighborhoods. Bryson had a fun time skipping from house to house getting candy and shouting "Superman!" The kids got so much candy this year and they all had a fun time trick or treating.

Halloween Party

We had our Halloween Party last night and had over forty people here in our little house. When I had planned this party I didn't think about how dark it was going to be outside so all the games I had planned to do outside didn't happen. If my party planning partner Carrie was here the party would have turned out so much better. I miss you Carrie, Halloween is just not the same without you here! I just want to apologize to those who came to my crazy unorganized party. I have just had a very busy month with one party after the next and I think I'm a little pooped out.

Family Night

We carved pumpkins last night for Family Night . My kids favorite part about pumpkin carving is cleaning out the seeds and getting all slimy. Bryson was the only one who didn't like it. Every time he would touch the inside of the pumpkin he would say " Ooow" or "Gross!" Travis does a great job carving crazy pictures and words into the pumpkins. I on the other hand have never been patient enough to carve a detailed pumpkin. I always just carve simple pumpkin faces. Robby was nice enough to clean all the slimy pumpkin off the seeds so they could be ready to bake. Then we all sat down ate pumpkin seeds and watched MR. MAGORIUM'S WONDERFUL EMPORIUM.

My Friend

Last night Tim and Anja came over for dinner. I wanted to get a more recent picture of me and Anja together, and it turned out so good. Anja has been my friend for four years now (give or take) and I have been so blessed to have her in my life. Travis and the Elders helped Anja and Tim move into their old apartment years ago. Travis after helping, came home and told me that a young couple just moved in and I would get along well with the wife. I ask Travis what her name was and he said "Anja". I don't want to sound mean, but when I heard the name Anja I just had to ask "Anja??" Is she cute?" Travis I think being a little afraid to answer said "I don't know". The following Sunday I was sitting with Carrie and Aaron in sacrament meeting and Anja and Tim were in the row in front of us. I remember telling Carrie that I wanted to go meet them. After the meeting was over we went up to talk to them and I knew right then that we would be good friends. I went searching for Tim and Anja's apartment the next day pushing Madison in the stroller. I was having a hard time finding it, until Tim pulled in. I waved him down and he showed me where to go. Ever since then we have been close friends and have done so much together. That little moment in my life was a huge blessing and I will always remember the day I met my good friends Tim and Anja.

Super hero's

Tonight was the Harvest Carnival at the kids school. We all went as superhero's and we got a lot of stares. This was our first time doing a family theme. Everyone thought are Superhero theme was a great idea and that we all looked great. I was very impressed with Travis I had to talk him into wearing his costume and when he finally did he wore it the whole time. The carnival was very fun but, our play time is over and now we have to go and save the world.

Bryson

Bryson will be two on the ninth of next month and I just wanted to write about my funny little man. He is starting to talk more and more and some things he says really surprise me. I was cleaning my kitchen today when I heard Bryson yelling from the other room "Oh, I want that!" I listened for a while and he was watching a toy commercial on TV and he kept saying I want that. I have also caught him several times when dropping something saying "Oh Dang!" It only goes to show me that I'm being watched and need to be very careful with what I say or do. I think he is ready to be potty trained because he says "Mom I poop poo" or "I pee". One day after changing Bryson's diaper I told him to put it in the garbage (my garbage can is in a big draw in my kitchen) when he went to shut the drawer he tried to push it shut with his foot like he sees me do. He is always telling me "Mom sit down" and then he pats the spot beside him on the recliner. He loves pumpkins, airplanes, and wearing backpacks. When we are out at night Bryson loves to look up and point at the moon. He makes me so happy, when I'm having a bad day he will come up to me, give me a hug and kiss and say "I love you!" Bryson is a big Mama's boy which can be very hard sometimes but deep down I don't think I would want it any other way.

Allison's 9TH Birthday Party

I was very busy today getting everything ready for Allison's party. I bought some balloons and then went to Travis' store and put helium in them and then tied ribbon to all thirty. It took a good hour to get them all done. Then I had to drive home with my van stuffed full of balloons and Bryson stuck right in the middle of them all. My good friend Tricia made Allison's birthday cake and it turned out amazing! The top half of the cake was vanilla and the bottom half was chocolate. The cake was so good. Thanks you so much Tricia for all your hard work! We had a good turn out and all the kids had fun. The kids played lots of fun games and had fun hitting the pinnate. Allison got more presents then she knew what to do with and $65 in Toys -R -Us gift certificates. When the party was over Allison's friends had a very hard time leaving, so I guess you could say our party was a hit! Happy Birthday Allison. I hope you had a great day!
