My First Time Getting Pulled Over

Tonight as I was driving my family to go see The Muppet Movie, I got pulled over. This was my first time ever getting pulled over and I was so nervous. The officer told me that he pulled me over because I made an inappropriate turn onto Crater Lake Ave. I turned into the right lane when I should have turned into the left and then signaled to the right. I didn't even have my license with me so I thought I was going to get a big fat ticket. I gave him my information and he went back to his car. I was praying that he wouldn't give me a ticket because that is the last thing we need. He came back and gave me a warning. Thank goodness! I don't know if it was because of my perfect driving record or because I had my whole family in the car and he heard the Christmas music playing in the background and felt the Christmas spirit, whatever it was... I lucked out! I'm going to make sure to always turn into the nearest lane and never leave my house without my drivers license.

Feelin' The Love

The last couple nights we have had someone leave stuff on our porch. On Saturday night we got a plate of chocolate chip cookies with a not saying "Your family Rocks!"  Last night we got this large note left on our door step saying "We love the Skabelands". I don't know who is doing this, but it's nice knowing that our family is loved.

Sandwiches Made with Love

Bryson's favorite food is Peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches. He is always asking me to make them and tells me every time I do "I want a Peanut butter and Jelly with no crust." I was so tired of cutting the crust off his sandwich ever time, so I finally got smart!  I looked through my cookie cutters and found a heart the was the perfect size. I used the cookie cutter to cut the crust off. Bryson thought he was super special getting a pb and j sandwich in the shape of a heart. I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier.  Now when Bryson wants a sandwich her will ask " Mom, will you make me a heart peanut butter sandwich? I love you!" I even get extra hugs and kisses from him. Just by doing something so simple like using a heart cookie cutter for a sandwich it made Bryson feel happier and a little more loved.

The Boys Boxing Match

We went and saw a movie called Real Steel a couple weeks ago (very good movie!) after we got home Travis had to go and get the boys boxing gloves. They have been getting together every night for a boxing match. Lets just say they meet every night so that they can beat on their dad. They really know how to throw some mean punches. Byson loves to go for Travis' face, he may be the smallest but he sure is tough.

Madison Made Her First Hat

Madison knitted her first hat last night and she did a great job. We added a pretty felt flower when she was finished and I think it looks super cute on her. Love you Madison!

Lucky Number Five

My Five beautiful kids on Bryson's 5th Birthday

I thought this would be a fun picture. Bryson is 5 today, I have five children, Bryson's my fifth child.

Happy 5TH Birthday!

I woke Bryson up at 7:50 this morning a minute before he turned five. Lexie and I counted down from ten and then sang happy birthday. Bryson then made his first birthday wish and blew out the candle.
I got a birthday hug from Bryson right when he turned five.
I spent the whole two and a half hours while he was at preschool filling balloons and getting everything ready.
Bryson loves to bake with me, so when it came to his birthday cake I let him make it.
Bryson wanted to put his presents under the Christmas tree.
 Surprise from Grandma Skabelund
Bryson was so excited to go to the mailbox today to get his birthday surprise from Grandma! He had to unlock the mailbox himself. When he got the package out, he went skipping back to the house. It was so cute to see Bryson so happy. When he opened the package and saw $15 in ones and $5 in golden coins he said
" Mom I'm a RICH!" Thanks Dixie and Lee for always thinking of  us on our birthdays. Everyone always looks forward to your packages. Love you!!

Time to open some birthday presents!
What a cute boy I have! I hope you had a great birthday Bryson. I love you!!
