Travis' Grandpa Hillyard passed away this week and so we decided to drive to Utah for the funeral. We left for Utah on Friday morning and got here 5:00 Saturday morning. It was the longest drive ever! I drove the first seven hours and then Travis drove the rest of the way. The roads got really bad in Nevada and there were all kinds of accidents off the sides of the road. It was dark, snowing, and the roads were packed with snow so Travis was going like 35/40 MPH most of the way. Our trip ended up being a long 16 hour drive. When the kids all got up Saturday morning there was snow everywhere, they were so excited to go and play in it. They didn't have so boots so I put bags over their shoes to keep their feet warm.
While Lexie was out playing in the snow she said "Mom.. this was the the best Christmas ever."
My kids were so happy to have snow to play
Ethan got hit with a snowball just before I took this picture and he wasn't happy!
Travis came out after awhile and to make an igloo.
Lexie and Dallas helped Travis put the Igloo together. Lexie stayed in the middle packing the snow around the squares to keep the foundation sturdy.
Jennifer and her cute little boy. I had so much fun yesterday loving on Austin.
Everyone had fun watching Travis through the window.
The bags worked, the kids feet stayed dry and we all had a great time playing out in the snow!
