Whites Farm

Our family went with the Christy and Chuck to Whites Farm today and we all had so much fun. We went on a hay ride to a pumpkin patch, fed the goats, and then spent some time trying to get through a beautiful corn maze. It was a pretty day and we enjoyed being out together!

Past Halloweens

Here are some old Halloween family pictures I thought would be fun to share.

Full House

Last night we had a full house. I had Chuck and Christy's three kids over while they went to celebrate their friends birthday. Jacqueline, Lexie's friend was here because her parents are out of town and she didn't want to be home alone, so I brought her home with me after I got the kids from school. While I was babysitting, Tim and Anja came over to hang out and play games so we had a lot of little kids screaming and running around my house. It was cute to see Chase, Bryson, and Loren play so well together. I had so much fun playing with Anja's baby Kardyn. She kept making this funny little face that made Anja and I laugh so hard. She is such cute little girl, I just love it when babies start getting a little older and they start making funny facial expressions! I want to thank Tim and Anja for coming over and making our Friday Night a little better. We stayed up pretty late last night playing Settlers first with just Tim and Anja and the second time around with Tim, Anja, Chuck, and Christy. Tim won the game both times, the first time I wasn't very far behind. Next time we play, Tim is going down down to China Town!

You don't have to read this!

For those of you out there who make fun of my Blog or the little things I post. I'm sorry! I'm not blogging for you, I'm blogging for me. I have never been good at keeping a journal, I was never that into scrap booking. I have always wanted to make a picture journal but never got around to it. Now my Blog is my picture journal! The first reason I blog is because it's fun, It's something I can go to and get a break from house work or relax. Second reason is because I don't live close to my family and it's a good way for them to check in on us and vise verse. The final reason I blog is because I want to have those memories written down of family and friends so when I print a blog book I can look back and remember all the funnny little things my kids have done or moments we have shared together. I'm going to continue to blog and make posts about random weird things and if you don't like it, then don't read it!

Maddy's Hair Cut

Madison has been wanting to have her hair cut for a while now and because I'm a softy, I gave in and cut a few inches off her hair. I'm so not a hair dresser so I was a little nervous to cut it but, I thought to myself it's just hair and it will grow back. I made sure that when I cut her hair that I cut it a little longer so if it looked bad I could take her in to get it fixed. After I was done cutting Madison's hair she ran to the bathroom to look at it and was very happy with how it turned out.

Madison's growing up too fast! She has already had her first little crush on a boy she went to preschool with named Chris.

She loves to do things by herself without any help. Madison has come out of her shell and is not as shy as she use to be. She does a great job helping out with Bryson and he just loves being with her. She still loves the color pink, she looks forward to going to school every day and is doing a great job. We love you Maddy!

Today I went and got her some new carpet and a pretty outdoor background to enjoy. Michele I miss you so much and think about you all the time. I love you!

Sixflags Discovery Kingdom

We went to Six flags this weekend with our friends the Kings. We left for California Thursday night. I enjoyed the car ride because I was able to listen to some cassette tapes Travis made me while we were dating. We drove for 2 1/2 hours and stopped and stayed the night at Jeremy's brother's house in Redding. Friday morning we drove three hours to Six flags only to find that it was closed. Because we had nothing planned we went to a huge Science Museum that had just opened up in San Francisco. The Museum was very crowded but we had fun looking at all the marine life. San Francisco is such a busy, crowded, crazy place to be. We had a hard time getting from place to place without being caught in a big traffic jam. Ethan kept commenting on how dirty it was there and the kids were very interested in watching a homeless guy that was following us for three miles, who was scanning the sidewalks and garbage's for cigarettes and food. They watched him eat ice cream and a sandwich out of the trash can. Saturday was very fun! We got to Six flags at 10:30 we played around on rides, saw some fun shows, the kids went trick or treating, and watched Zombies dance to Thriller. We all had a great time with each other and hope to do it again soon!

My Haunted House

While I was exercising this morning, I was telling Crissy about the weird things that have happened in my house. Because Halloween is almost here, I thought I would post some pictures that were taken in my haunted house. Since we have moved into this house we have had a lot of spooky things happen. And almost every time I take a picture in my house they turn out looking like these and I usually have to photo shop many of my pictures to get the "Orbs" out.

All these pictures were taken at different times

Never Again!

I'm so Mad!!! I'm never going to waste my time or money on chocolate chip cookies again! I went to the store today and got new baking soda and baking powder and attempted to make a good batch of chocolate chip cookies. I failed. I don't know what is wrong with me? No matter how many times I have tried, my chocolate chip cookies always turn out flat. After the first batch was done Bryson asked me for a cookie and when I gave him the flat cookie, he looked at it funny, took a bite and spit it right back out. Not only were my cookies flat, they were not even good enough for Bryson to eat.

4:00 PM

After Years Of Trying, I Did It!!

OK. I don't like to leave things unfinished so I decided to finish baking my flat, nasty cookies. I added more flour and rolled them in balls instead of dropping them on the cookie sheet with a spoon to see if that would make a difference and they turned out perfect. I'm so happy!!

General Conference

I always get excited for General Conference. I'm so thankful for the leaders of the church and the messages that were shared. I really enjoyed listening to Presidents Monson speak about enjoying the here and now. He said "Rather than dwelling on the past, we should make the most of today, of the here and now, doing all we can to provide pleasant memories for the future." At times I feel I worry too much about how clean my house is or about yard work and push off time spent with my children. President Monson talked about how fast time goes by and kids grow up. That someday are kids will all be grown and have families of their own. We will then miss the little had prints that are left on our walls and the toys all over the floor. I want to try harder to make ever moment count and make sure that my family has many happy memories of times we have shared together. I'm so thankful for the church and how it blesses my life. I'm thankful for my family and the love we have for each other. I know that our Heavenly father knows and loves each and every one of us as individuals. If we follow his teaching and live our lives the best we can, we will be blessed in all we do.

Elders Quorum Party

We had an Elders Quorum Party at Travis' Spa Store. We had so much fun playing games like Shuffle Board, Air Hokey, Ping Pong and Foosball. I didn't bring my camera until I came back the second time with my kids and by then the party was ending, but it was a good turn out and we all had a good time!

Leaves Are Falling All Around

I can't believe that after working so hard to clean up our leaves, they are back. It has been less than a week since my driveway was clean and free from leaves and now we have to go out and do it all over again. I think fall leaves are very pretty and I love how they sound when the wind is blowing them around. I also love how they crunch under my feet when I'm walking but, after a while I find myself wishing I could enjoy the pretty leaves somewhere other than my own yard.

Early Morning Walks

My friend Juli and I have been walking together every morning. We walk up McAndrews RD and sometimes around different neighborhoods by Lone Pine Elementary. We both take our little ones. It's Bryson's favorite time of day, if we don't go walking he is a little cranky. By the way if I'm walking and you see me and honk or say Hi and I don't respond, I'm so sorry! The sun was probably in my eyes and I didn't see or hear you. Juli, I want to thank you for taking time out of your mornings to walk with me. You are a great friend and I really enjoy spending time with you!
